Common Lore

‘Common Lore’ is an exciting fusion of rap, spoken word, projections and live electronic music. A modern take on traditional stories, this unique and relevant show sees Fairy Tales and modern life collide!

An inventive, fast-paced reinvention of traditional theatre, technology and spoken word – all performed by one young woman (and her mobile phone!)

Meet Scarlet, as she reinvents the childhood stories told to her by her nan in her own unique way.

This original piece of theatre was commission especially for library performances and is developed with and for audiences aged 11-25. ‘Common Lore’ will tour UK libraries, schools and venues from Autumn 2018 with support from Spot On Lancashire, Northern Broadsides and New Vic Education.

“Witty, engaging and interesting.”
